Theo Paphitis give Preloved Tech a Boost
Posted on: 28th October, 2021Every now and then something happens that just makes you feel good about everything you are doing, and last Monday was no exception. Our consumer recycling business, Preloved Tech, received a huge business boost from Retail Entrepreneur Theo Paphitis.
Last week, Matt Giles, our co-founder and Managing Director, tweeted Theo about Preloved Tech during ‘Small Business Sunday’ and we were lucky enough to be one of six weekly winners to gain a retweet by Theo to his near half a million Twitter followers. The weekly initiative, set up by Theo in 2010, now has over 3,000 #SBS winners and supports small businesses in the UK.
Business and retail entrepreneur and self-confessed Shopkeeper, Theo re‐tweeted Matt’s message to his almost 500,000 followers. Preloved Tech is now profiled on the #SBS website (www.theopaphitissbs.com) that is exclusive to all Small Business Sunday winners.
Matt said, “Having someone like Theo Paphitis actively pick our business as an #SBS winner is an amazing feeling. It is great to have support from Theo because he is so well respected within the business world and saw something in our company he liked.
It’s always a tough task to raise an online profile and Theo has recognised our hard work and helped spread the word about what we do to his following.”
Small business champion and Ryman Stationery, Robert Dyas and Boux Avenue Chairman, Theo Paphitis, said: “We are thrilled to welcome new #SBS members every week and highlight just how important it is to support our small businesses here in the UK. My vision is that everyone who has ever won an #SBS re-tweet from me becomes part of a friendly club; like-minded individuals who can share successes and learnings. The website will also give a valuable profile to the winners chosen and I wish Preloved Tech every success.”
Another great piece of recognition from a business mogul who has given the work by our Preloved team a huge boost.
