How to remove icloud account

Sending in an Apple Device?

Posted on: 27th January, 2021

If you are selling an Apple device you need to ensure you have logged out of your iCloud account, removed your AppleID and any security login featires such as PIN lock, Fingerprint and FaceID before sending it in. Failure to do so may result in a delay to your sale, or your device being sent back to you for removal.

iPhones, iPads, iPods, Apple Watch and Mac computers are tied to their owners’ iCloud accounts which are password protected, and only the owner is able to access it and remove it. Therefore, when preparing your device to send in to us it is necessary for you to remove your iCloud account from your iPhone.

Removing your AppleID from your device is quick and easy and can be completed using your device or via the iCloud website. You need to make sure you have backed up all your data before logging the device out.

4. Turn on the data that you want to keep a copy of on your device.

6. Tap Sign Out again to confirm that you want to sign out of iCloud.
